  Dr Darah Burke graduated from Manchester University in 1993 and has worked at Awburn House since 1999. He is married with 3 grown up children. He performs new baby checks. Over the years he has developed skills in diagnosing and treating skin problems, undertaking dermatoscopy (detailed skin lesion examination), minor surgical procedures and joint injections. He helps support the management of the practice and supervises some staff members.

  Trained at Sheffield Medical School through the Sheffield Outreach and Access Scheme (SOAMS). I received a university scholarship and qualified as a doctor in 2013. I qualified a GP in 2018 through the Pennine Northwest GP training programme. My clinical interests include dermatology, men's health, and cardiology. I completed extended training posts in both dermatology and cardiology. I have expertise in safeguarding, clinical governance, and General Practice Education, and I hold a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Practice, Management, and Education with Distinction.

• JANENNE CONNOLLY

  Janenne began her nurse training in July 1985 at Tameside General Hospital and proudly qualified as a Registered General Nurse in July 1988. She went on to spend six very happy years as a Staff Nurse and then Sister on Ward 15 at Tameside Hospital. In 1994, she took on her first Practice Nurse role at a surgery in Dukinfield, completing numerous courses to develop her skills for this new position, and also gained further experience working in Ashton. She joined Awburn House Medical Practice in July 2012 and has been a valued member of our team ever since. Dedicated to providing the highest standard of care, she continues to attend courses and training to ensure she remains fully up to date and competent in her role – one that is both rewarding and wonderfully varied.
